The South Korean government has decided to vaccinate 10 million people before the end of 2009.
Mrs. Jeon Jae-Hee, the South Korean Minister of Health, Welfare and Family Affairs said in a briefing on 28 August that the government was to supply vaccines, as the vaccination is the most effective method against the swine flu(influenza A).
The ruling party has decided to appropriate 10.1 million won for the purchase of the vaccine.
The government has only secured enough vaccines for 7million people through Green Cross. The remaining 3million doses will have to be imported from GSK
The price of Green Cross' vaccine is 8,000 won per dose while that of GSK's vaccine is known as about 14,000 won per dose. [헬스코리아뉴스]
