[헬스코리아뉴스] A 7 year old healthy child infected with the new flu strain died.
This particular case is first time in healthy children. With this, 18 death cases of human infection with H1N1 influenza A viruses were confirmed in South Korea since the disease was first identified in April of this year.
Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family affairs((MIHWAF) announced on 18 October that a 7 years old child living in metropolitan area has died of acute respiratory failure at a hospital on 16 October.
According to the MIHWAF, the healthy child had infected with new flu on 25 last month and showed symptoms of pneumonia and he was given the antiviral drug Tamiflu at least five days in the hospital but died of acute respiratory failure.
