【Healthkoreanews】The good manufacturing practice(GMP) and Validation system have directly affected the withdrawl of generic drugs in the market.
According to the Korea Food and Drug Administration(KFDC), the number of cases of withdrawal of generic drug's approval has increased by 3.7 times to 6.702 cases in 2008 compared with 2005 (cf. 2003(1,657 cases), 2004(1,971"), 2005(9,456"), 2006(6,289"), 2007(4,363") and the first half of 2008(3957")).
An offical of KFDA said, "This situation is due to the undervaluation of generic drugs. The drugmakers now estimate that the market value of generic drugs has gone down in the last few years.<헬스코리아뉴스>
